30 minutes of Pure Bliss

spent alone in the spinning room without the lights on. I actually recall my first spinning class being rather dreadful. The fitness instructor who teaches my core class in a relaxed and quiet voice started yelling commands over loud music for the entire hour. It was way too intense for me, since I don’t like shouting unless it’s for encouragement. After warming up, I tried intervals where I’d pedal standing up, giving a half quarter turn every 25 seconds until I reached maximum resistance. I’d then decrease the resistance the same way. Not even an hour of Zumba left my mouth as dry as after just 10 minutes of spinning. I really felt the lactic acid burn in my thigh muscles throughout the session….but I guess the pain was therapeutic.
